YouTube Work

Unfortunately, I have not had the time to continue this channel. Between work and school, I am quite busy and am not able to continue planning and producing content. Not too much of what I am currently working on is "uploadable," as it relates mainly to digital systems and embedded systems that would require more intensive tutorials with heavy setup costs that are not feasible to do. I thoroughly enjoyed producing content, and I may yet return at some point. Thank you for your attention throughout the past couple years, and I will try my best to continue to stay in touch over Discord.

What I do:

On my YouTube channel, I upload videos and livestream weekly. Usually, the content falls into three main categories: tutorials, challenges, or video essays. With tutorials, I am either walking through a library or framework and discovering how to use its features. This category also includes project walkthroughs where we create something from scratch that joins many ideas and concepts we have learned in previous tutorials or challenges. With challenges, we focus on one algorithm or programming idea and try to implement it in various languages. And finally, with video essays, I explore some general idea in the realms of programming and computer science and how it relates to everything writing code is about.

Why I do what I do:

I am a self-taught programmer. I took a single semester class in high school for computer science and that was it. The reason I got to where I am right now, with programming at the forefront of my talents, is because of free and online resources. Even though I intend to major in computer science in university, I still plan to learn more on the side, likely using free education I can find on YouTube or through some other platform. And without all the content creators and documentation I found online without paying a cent, I would likely not even know anything about programming. These sources of information have infinite value, and I have appreciated every bit of it. As a result, I wanted to be able to give back and contribute something to this pool of knowledge. With this channel, my purpose is to provide the same opportunity I had to many more people. In my work, this is reflected through my methodology. Most of the time, I take existing tutorials, walk through them, and then build upon those tutorials to create something new that will add something innovative to the world.
